Dave Holscher founded Roxbury Mountain Maple in 2011 because he wanted his work to be closer to his family. For many years he traveled to Rhode Island on a regular basis to manage his asphalt maintenance company, Holscher Sealcoating. The travel was tough, limiting his ability to spend time with his kids and wife during the summer. 

In 2010 he realized that the old farm he lived on in upstate New York could potentially support his family with its thousands of maple trees. Technology had improved so maple production could finally be profitable.   

 After much thought and prayer Dave and Linda decided to launch Roxbury Mountain Maple. The first several years were incredibly challenging. Unexpected hurdles arose. Blood, sweat and tears were expended. But the family rallied around one another and pushed through to become one of the largest maple producers in the Catskills.
